Tool only units (without battery and charger) are ideal for our existing customers who already own a battery and charger in the GreenWorks 80v platform and are looking to expand their tool collection without the added cost of the battery and charger. This mower is also sold with a battery and charger, the model number is  MO80L510.

Stronger than Ryobi 48v by far. Able to go thru thick grass, even in self-propel mode that would cause Ryobi to stall even tho it is not self-propelled. Excellent battery duration, even when using self-propel. Charges amazingly fast, 1 hr for 4-amp batt. Seems well designed & made. Nice soft-start and soft-self-propel features, no sudden dangerous motions. Durability unknown, have had only 1 month. Able to get spare blade promptly. Very pleased with purchase.

I bought this in mid March and I will say I am 100% satisfied. I have mowed 10 times since I bought it and no problems. Makes a nice cut (example below)
Here is a list of things that may help you
1.) When using self-propelled disengage the last little push forward( a few inches) and the mower will pull back with no wheel lock. 
2.) If you use the bag do not let it get to full. It will shorten run time and change the angle of your blade.
3.) Balance sharpen the blade.
4.) Do not store your battery fully charged
5.) Overlap about 10% from your last cut pass or you will get stray blades of grass uncut. 

I mow 8000 sq ft total and I use the same battery (4ah)  for the weed trimmer too. (bad idea as the 4ah battery is heavy). I always finish everything with 30% battery. I do not bag and mulch the grass in. .
.. someone else complained the self-propelled is to slow... I have no problem with the speed and full speed is too quick. I run it at half speed and it is a nice comfortable walk.

No complaints- works great

Up until this date I have mowed the front and back lawns 3 times.  The mower has Exceeded my expectations.  My combined lawns are about 5400 sq. ft.  I am using the smallest battery and can mow both lawns with a single charge, or I can mow one lawn and use the blower with a single charge.  My next purchase will be a weed eater and I may purchase a second battery.  I do not know anything about durability yet.

Works great!

I bought the 80 volt 21 inch self propelled lawnmower a little over a year ago and it is awesome. It has a clean cut, mulches well and does a great job bagging. I really like how easy it is to operate. I bought the 5ahr battery for it and that's more then enough power to mow my 1/2 acre property. The best thing about this mower is my wife likes operating it so that cuts down the amount of time I mow!

The BEST battery operated mower made

This is the easiest mower I have ever had. The 80v battery lasts the entire time to get everything mowed. The thing I like the most about it is how I can prop it vertically to either clean out the bottom, check the blade, and minimize storage space needed.

Easy Breezy Mower

Works great and is pretty battery efficient.  We have two 2Ah batteries and my kids can do our lawn without the second one running out.  My mom's other brand 56V mower with 7.5Ah battery barely completed the lawn, which other brand mower we borrowed while waiting for our Greenworks mower to arrive, after our Honda gas mower developed issues and wouldn't start, and I didn't have time to dork around with it.  It is easy to operate and my teenage daughter has no issues doing our lawn.

Works great.  Not too loud.  Easy to operate.

So far I've subjected it to deep dense weeds, far from normal lawn duty. It's been a strong runner, even though I have to take 2 passes to really knock them down. Under these harsh demands the 2 amp hour battery only lasts about 20 minutes but that's really not disappointing under the circumstances. I can only imagine how easily it would gobble up an 8” high grass lawn.

80V, 21” self propelled mower.

I have only had the chance to use this twice since i purchased it.  I was able to get an hour of operation out of my 1 year old 2A battery and was very happy that they runtime was as advertised.  I was also impressed with how quiet the mower is.  I was wearing some bluetooth ear buds and could barely hear it over my music which was not up very loud.  Seemed to have plenty of power for cutting and the self propelled mode.  One of my favorite features is the way that it stores.  Being able to fold the handle down and store the mower upright is a huge space saver.  I'd give it 5 stars but i need to use it over at least a season to see how it holds up.  Great job Greenworks.  (i also have the 18 in chainsaw and the handheld leaf blow and those work great too!)

Solid, quiet, and well designed

I have just about every other greenworks 80v tool and they all do a pretty good job except this one. My biggest complaint is the quality of the cut. It consistently leaves stray blades of grass (a problem I never had with a gas mower). It does a good job on some parts of the lawn but not the denser areas with thicker blades of grass. Which means I have to mow about 1/2 of my yard twice. When I contacted them they ended up sending me a replacement mower but the results were the same. If I was still within my window I would return it. Another downside is the grass bag sits low. So if you have a long stride your feet will end up kicking the bag each time.

On the plus side it is quite and no dealing with gas or the smell of the exhaust from the lawnmower.

Pass on this one

I thought it would use the same 80V battery as the chainsaw, edger, blower, weed eater and more but the battery for those items does not fit in this mower.  I'm still having difficulty contacting support to deal with this and another issue with a bolt missing from the handle.

So far pretty disappointed.
