Great set that includes SAE and MM. 1/4 and 3/8 DR. Very heavy, well made. Durable case holds everything perfectly for easy access. Handles are comfortable to hold with good grip. 90 tooth ratchet with reverse switch lever and quick release. Chrome finish for rust resistance. Selection of size and shape for all your varied repair needs. Love this set and will get allot of use in our house.

Hart 140pc tool set

My husband has been wanting a nice tool set to keep in his van and when Sparks offered this for review, I knew it would be perfect for him! And when he saw it, he agreed. Besides commenting on the variety of bits, drivers, nut drivers, sockets and deep well sockets, etc that is included with this kit, he commented on that the sockets are 6 point! He was very pleased about that as 6 point are less likely to slip and also less likely to round off whatever you are using it on. He was also happy to see that the ratchet has 90 teeth with a 4" arc. Many ratchets have fewer teeth and therefore the arc is larger and sometimes you just don't have the space so 90 is nice.... There are two ratchets, 3/8" and 1/4" dr and a variety of sockets included for both sizes. Also there are extensions for both sizes and multiple sockets for both. The sockets are also for either SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers), which are used for mainly domestic vehicles and MM(millimeters) for imports....and yes, I looked up SAE to see what it meant. Anyway, there is multiple sizes of 1" insert bits and so much more in this very handy kit. The tools have a chrome finish so they are rust resistant and they are all included in this durable carrying case. We have an older vehicle and at times have been stuck with the tools we needed still at home. We now carry this in the van with us. Nice kit, well stocked, I definitely recommend you try this mechanic's tool kit from Hart for yourself...

What a great set!

I received the Hart 140 piece Mechanics Set yesterday and I have to say I am very pleased with it. Seems like a nice sturdy case plainly marked where socket go and they snap right in. The sockets themselves are marked with the size in a larger font so they are easier to read and just looks like a quality set of sockets. The set has a 1/4 inch drive and a 3/8 inch driven and fits all my needs. Great product.

Hart 140 piece socket set

This is a nice tool set to have around the shop. It has a nice assortment of sizes. When you put them together they fit together nicely and feel nice and sturdy to use. I have had some that do not feel this sturdy and I worried about breaking them. Have used this to change the head in a pickup and they fit correctly and didn’t break. The tools are in a nice firm carrying case with the metal latch to keep together. I didn’t have any trouble with the pieces falling out of their place. They all fit nicely into their spots Overall would make a great gift since it has so many tools in it.

Very nice tool set

The Hart mech. driver set has every size socket and screwdriver bit you could ever need, in one convenient case. These socket drivers are very sturdy, and so far have held up to everything I have tested them on, and I think they will last forever. They are very well made. We have used them on rusted bolts outside, and they came through like a champ in getting the rusted nut to break free and come off. Where there is something that needs done around here, it is so easy to grab the kit and tackle the job and get it done. It is very convenient to be able to take the whole set to where you are working, so you are sure to have what you need, right there. The case that the tools are in, is also very sturdy and has good latches on it. It is also very nice to finally have all the different screwdriver bits right there, as I am finding that every screw around here, is a different kind and has a different head on it. I really love this tool set, and find it used so much, that I do keep it in a handy spot, where I can just grab it and go and know that I will have everything I need right there.

Sturdy tools in one easy to carry set.

I got this as a gift for my husband. Boy you should have seen his eyes light up when he got it! He absolutely loves it. Very professional set. He liked the huge assortment and the compact kit to hold the tools in. I swear he's been looking for projects to do, just so he can use it, lol. We are very pleased with this product and would recommend this.

Really nice tool kit

I received this product for review purposes and absolutely love the entire set. The case is awesome and holds the many pieces perfectly in place. It has many pieces for many different jobs which is perfect. I’d recommend to anyone looking for this type of product for themselves or as a gift.

Tools, work great case is a little iffy from time to time's. Doesn't like to hold the sockets in place when you open and close.

This Hart 140 PC. Mechanics Tool set is great for the beginner, home use, and office use or keep in the trunk of your car in it heavy duty case.

This set consists of (21) ¼inch sockets that feature (10) SAE socket from 5/32 inch up to ½ inch. (11) MM sockets 4mm up to 13mm. (23) 3/8” sockets that are (11) SAE ¼ inch up to 13/16 inch and (12) Metric sockets from 8mm to 19mm. All of these sockets are 6 point!

The set also comes with ¼ inch deep sockets (14 total) (7) SAE ¼ inch up to ½ inch and (7) MM sockets from 8mm to 14mm. In addition there are 3/8 inch deep sockets (14) total with (7) SAE ½ inch to 7/8 inch and (7) Metric sockets 13mm to 19mm. All of these sockets are 6 point!

There are (18) nut drivers from SAE 5/32 inch to 7/16 inch and Metric from 5mm to 12mm. There are 7 other tools included which are ¼” Ratchet, 3/8 Ratchet, ¼” drive bit driver, ¼” drive 3” Extension and a 3/8 drive 3” extension. It also has a 3/8” drive to ¼” Adaptor and a ¼” Driver adaptor.

This set also has (43) 1 inch insert bits the range from Philips bits, straight bits, hex bits and torque bits.

All of the tools are full chrome finish for rust resistance. The two ratchets have 90 tooth ratcheting which give 20% more efficiency. They come with a quick release button for superior socket holding and for easy release. 

The case is made of heavy plastic that folds open to expose all of the tools. All of the tools seem to fit quite snuggly in its assigned spot to prevent lose.

Hart does back these tools with a Life Time Warranty

I recommend this tool set.

Hart 140 piece Socket Set

They function as intended, which is how tools should be. Only real complaint is with the case itself. The deep well sockets don't like staying put, and the larger ratchet didn't like coming out. Outside of that? I'd easily buy this set again.

Great price for good tools

Tools are cheap, broke many of the adapters, is to be expected though, case and organized sockets are a plus, ratchets are decent too
