Especially like the ability to adjust the spin cycle times and the cold wash cycle.  We have had great luck with the Whirlpool brand and will stay loyal to it when our 14 yr old dryer eventually gives out (it's running perfectly to date).

My Kenmore washing machine stopped working after 17 years and now you can't buy them, so I purchased this Whirlpool. I like the control panel, it gets our clothes real clean, and it's quiet! Very pleased cleans well

I have been using my new washer and matching dryer for about a month and a half now, and am quite happy with my purchase!  This is my first he front loader, so I had to research about what detergent to use and how to use it, and about washer maintenance to make sure that I do not experience the dreaded washer mold/smell!  So far so good!  I dry all the surfaces and remove the detergent dispenser after each load to make sure everything drys properly.  I also use a rag to reach into the gasket to dry it all the way.  I love the load and go feature!  What a good idea!  Now we will not use too much detergent, and I know no one else in household will either!  The spin cycle gets my clothes very dry so drying is much quicker.  I love the extra rinse feature, it helps to make sure no detergent is left on clothes or washer drum.  My clothes seem cleaner!  Way less fuzz Bally clothes, way less pills forming on fabrics!  The load size is huge!  It's overall a really good washer especially being that it's one of the lower priced options for front loader he washer.  Oh, and it's  made in the USA and that helps our economy and gives Americans jobs!  

The only things that could be improved is ventilation...a fan on the back of the unit would help air flow and reduce moisture, and prevent mold growth, and it's a little annoying to have to take the detergent drawer out to dry when finished.  I have been using swash detergent made by whirlpool, but can only find it at Amazon, and I hate Amazon!  

I replaced machines that were close to 15 years old, and were not working well, almost broken...These new machines are high tec, modern, and work beautifully!  I would like to see the manufactures of washers add features to all machines that prevent mold growth!  Mold should not be a concern!  Also, a good inline hard water filter would be great too!  I have lots of sediment in my water and worry bout it effecting the washer...

I am happy with my new washer!

This is my first front loader washing machine that I have owned. When I was a single Dad, the old machines served me well but I never liked putting large bulky items in with the agitator. Spinning in some of the machines made the whole house shake from being unbalanced. When my last washer started clunking and making SO MUCH NOISE, I thought, "There must be a reason why laundromats used the front loaders." Time to try a front loader. 
So far I have not been disappointed, less water so less load on my septic field, less water heater energy, less pumping from well and machine. There are more features than I will probably need but nice to have as options if needed. Bonus is the top of the machine can be used while folding clothes after taken from the dryer. After 40 Years Use of Top Loaders

As far as the washer goes, it is fine. Can't say I'm crazy about the control buttons as I'd prefer something a bit more analog or mechanical; not everything has to be like a touch screen.  Also, the 3-2-1 count down to start or do anything is kind of annoying.  Akin to my PC asking me 'are you sure', 'are you really sure'.  Haven't used the "Load & Go" feature as I see it as pure gimmick and prefer powder or pods anyway.

I have a large family and access the drain filters (have multiple washers/dryers) somewhat frequently; should probably have my own YouTube channel for DIY instructions. Basically every time one of my kids overloads the washers, the bellows separate from drum, and a sock or something else goes down the drain, thus resulting in drain failure. The solution is easy enough but the nuances between each washer are vast. My old Kenmore had a lower panel that came off and allowed access to the drain filter, but it was always a pain to get that panel off when washer was full of wet clothes that didn't drain. My Maytag is the worst!  Maytag engineers chose form over function when they designed it with a single front panel that can only be 'removed' by taking the top panel off which is done by removing couple screws on back of washer...that is of course after you remove your stacked dryer...brilliant Maytag, brilliant!  My solution is to just undo bottom screws, pry open front panel as far as possible without damaging and shove my shop vac hose up to face of drain and slowly open and let the shop vac do its thing until fully drained.

So, when I was recently buying a new washer I wanted one where the drain was super easy to access.  Samsung seemed to be first to market with dedicated front panel drain filter access but their washers have horrible reliability issues. I was happy to see Whirlpool added one. After few months of use, we just had our first incident to test the new Whirlpool drain filter. Ease of Access = B, Ease of Use = F.

Note to Whirlpool Engineers: 
1) Adding the little drain hose was a nice touch until you left it at least 2"-3" too short to be of any use whatsoever; it doesn't even reach beyond the washer frame.  If you try to tug on the hose, it simply kinks won't drain...worthless.  Had to get the shop vac out after all.
2) The drain housing should have a flange or lip that overlaps the 'black fascia trim' so that any residual water doesn't leak down into the bottom pan of the washer and sits there to rust.
3) The 'black fascia trim'...seriously, you couldn't design the trim to remove for easy access to bottom pan without removing the entire front panel (see Maytag problems above).
4) To whomever designed the liquid/powder detergent spillover weir, how small do your hands have to be to actually use it, and why is that thing so fickle. I have to fiddle with it about 10 times before I get it adjust.

Comments & Note to Whirlpool Engineers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appliance cleans but anything that is dried on a clothes line after washing emits an unpleasant odor, especially denim jeans after a certain washing interval. 
 You may choose an odor cover up using scented products which I never needed until buying a front loader machine. BTW the unit does subscribe to cleaning intervals but this is rather a nuisance. The products for automatic cleaning are available but are unsatisfactory and temporary because the machine continues to accumulate odor causing materials in the washer. All this to say, steer away from front loader machines period. I have been using this style machine for more than s year.
