Now that a big issue has been resolved, I love this washer. The first few times I washed, my clothes came out steaming even when I used cold wash. After 10 days and many trials, we figured out the washer hoses had been installed wrong (switched hot and cold lines). I love all the features and how clean, less wrinkled and fresher smelling my clothes come out compared to my old washer.

Owned these for about a month now and my favorite feature is the tub clean. Dogs blankets accidentally got washed and the machine was a mess. Replaced my Maytag front loader and impressed

I wwnt for this big because it advertised the ability to wash 2 king sized comforters. We have a queen size and a full size beds and we can wash both bedding sets at once.

Purchased the set with pedestals  with sidekick  almost one month ago. I had wanted this set for over a year and finally was able to purchase.  LG makes an incredible product. The set is good looking and remarkably quiet to the point I keep checking to see if it's running. It's Star rating for energy is one of the highest for efficiency I have seen. It does a multitude of tasks from bright whites, to small loads. It can handle a large amount of volume (I purchased the mega wash/dry) so your dry cleaning bills may become close to non-existent as mine has.  I use the Sidekick for delicate/hand wash items and am still amazed I can use it simultaneously while the main washer is running.  The dryer is efficient and quiet and has a catchy upbeat tune to let you know how the drying is progressing or finished. I look forward to using them and do on a daily basis so there is no pile up. Better then a new car...almost!

This is finest washer i have ever used. If there is such a thing, its the Cadillac if washers. I love all special features it had. Saves water, balances loads, and is really smart. Lg has really lived up to their reputation if the best appliances on the market!

Awesome Quality Washer

I bought this washer because my Samsung top load went to the bone yard after only six years. I wanted the efficiency of a front loader, but the size of a top loader, and I found this 5.2 cu of a beauty! It's big enough to wash all of my doggie beds, blankets, towels, and comforters with ease! I am in awe of how dry everything comes out of a cycle as well. The dryer takes less time to dry everything. Our clothes smell fresher after being washed in this machine, too, so I know it's cleaning our clothes so much better! So far I am very happy with my purchase! My new mega machine!

I have used my side kick for over a year with great success. It does a great job and cleans well. Wish it had a soak feature. I do use bleach in it, but adjust my amount, dilute it with a pint or more of water and always use an extra rinse. A safety feature I find irritating is that at the end of the wash I have to wait until the temperature lessens to open it. Annoying, but now it is part of my routine. Delicate knits do not like the spin cycle as they will contain wrinkles that don't immediately come out. I use my front loader for my knit tops. The tumble doesn't make the knits retain their wrinkles like the traditional spin does. I would like to have a hot water option, but warm works pretty well. I was the first in our region to buy the side kick, but decided for less than twice the cost of a pedestal, I would rather have a sidekick. I do not regret my decision. I wipe down the washer and leave the lid open a little for my sidekick and my front loader and have NEVER had an odor problem. Closing it tight will cause the mold odor that people complain about. Love my side kick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer exactly one month ago and while the washer operates great, I have a few recommendations for future improvement.  Suggest either the background color of the cycle selector display be a diffrent color as it clashes with the lettering color and makes it very difficult to read, or you include a backlight for ease of visibility. For a unit this size, and capability, it should also include Wi-Fi capability and not just "Smart Diagnosis."

Great Capacity

Purchased our first LG washing machine and so far so good as far as the clothes getting cleaned.  My downfall with the machine - can't figure out why LG did not think to light up the front panel on the bottom  where it says to add garments, wash temp and more. It is very dark and unreadable.  Another issue- when a wash cycle is complete, there is water in the blue main wash liquid detergent compartment and there water in the softener compartment. Can't figure this one out. We purchased this LG set 3 weeks ago and the washer is holding water in the soap/softener dispenser. Now mold is growing in it. I can't return it to the store because it's been more than 2 weeks. Customer service just recommended to do a tub clean cycle with oxy clean. I wish someone had posted pictures about this issue before we purchased this set. DON'T BUY IT!!!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!
