I bought this a little over a month ago. It is a great microwave. The inside is much larger than my last one, lot more powerful common this in my opinion is the best microwave I've ever used. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We updated our 20yr old kitchen with LG and we couldn't be happier. It looks beautiful!!! The appliances work great, easy to use, and soooooo much better than the old ones. And they were easy to instal yourself and they were very affordable. These appliances are high quality and very efficient- fridge is very cold and the microwave and range heat perfectly. I love how they have convenient features like beeping when the fridge door is left open and the oven light automatically shuts off. And the stainless cleans easily too, which is perfect since we have two teenagers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Simply Beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to update my kitchen and I'm so happy with it. It looks stunning and my favorite part is how quiet it is while running! Super simple to set up and use and I love the clean interior of it.

Beautiful microwave

We love the microwave and it is really quiet and easy to use. One thing we noticed is the view window is half the size of the door and is hard to look in. The glass goes to the bottom of the door but the viewing tint stops half way. It could be better and I'm not sure why this was done! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The incentive to write this review was to be entered in an LG contest.  I bought this microwave in May 2022 as a replacement for an eight year old LG microwave that broke (the Extendavent broke and it would stop heating food). We have all LG appliances, so I just decided to roll the dice and get another LG microwave.  The older LG microwave had an Extendavent.  I would advise not to buy the Extendavent model because it will eventually break.  So far, so good with this model.  However, the current item description states that the exterior lighting is a 50W LED and the interior lighting is 30W incandescent.  That information is incorrect unless the model has been recently updated.  The same model we bought came with a halogen bulb for the exterior lighting, which was disappointing.  The interior bulb was a 30W appliance bulb.  The QuietPower Ventilation System is not quiet, but it is strong.  Honestly, I would not expect a strong ventilation system to be quiet.  The touchpad is easy to use and it cooks and heats as expected.

So Far, So Good

Microwave works great and cleans easily, but I am annoyed with the "Energy Saving" button on the panel. Apparently the only setting for this microwave is to hide the clock unless you push one of the buttons. This reveals the clock for 5 minutes and there is no way to counteract this feature. It's annoying when my oven display is monopolized by a timer and I want to casually see what time it is. This feature functions like a first generation digital watch. I submit to you, LG, how much power is actually saved by hiding the clock? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Energy Saving Clock? Really???

We have this installed at a regular height above our range. I cannot see inside the microwave while it's on, as in to watch what I am heating. This is because the viewing area on the door is very narrow.  I cannot even see in on tip toes. 

Also, would love if it alerted me with a reminder beep that my heating is done and something is waiting inside. I didn't think that mattered much, but alas, I like the reminder beep. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not for short people

Design Flaws: One serious
This unit looks great and cooks well. It was easy to install. However, when the unit was installed, the over stove light was turned on (High) by installers. Unaware of this, when I installed the turntable the inside of the enclosure the floor was too hot when touched and the stove light lens was so hot I burned my fingers. (Attached are Temp readings using a home grade sensor) Additional issues: 1. The end of cook/timer alert beeps only occur once. If you happen to not hear them, you could end up not knowing your cycle is complete. 2. Control buttons do not always sense finger touches. You often have to press more than once to get the button to activate.  3. The viewing window is so small, it is difficult to see food.  not possible for short users. 4. Though the grey interior is very nice looking, when combined with the dim interior light adds to the difficulty seeing the food when it is cooking. 5. Bottom mount grease filters do not completely seal and sometimes fall out [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Design Flaws: One serious

I am 5 feet tall and the LMV2031 over-the-range microwave oven has a considerable blacked out area extending six inches up from the bottom of the door making it IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE what is happening at the turntable level! See the photos. I believe this is the same door as on the LMV2033 that has the touch panel across the bottom of the door, which is why so much of the bottom of the door's glass was blacked out. My LMV2031 has the touch panel on the right side. The actual viewing area through the door is 17 wide but ONLY 4 inches high, and below the viewable opening is blacked out 6 inches to the bottom of the door, which is 56 inches off the floor. This last distance is even shorter than perhaps typical, but not unheard of, as when I had my cabinets installed, I took into consideration my height, for accessibility.  

But I am not sure how well I would be able to see the turntable, or anything else inside, with more viewing area, as even with the interior light on when the microwave is in operation, it is darker than a mole's armpit in there!

If this very thoughtlessly designed microwave was subject to such rules, I would have to say it is NOT ADA compliant!
