This is a well made lap desk and perfect for my 4yr.old granddaughter.  She loves to draw and she immediately loaded her drawing paper and organized her crayons and pencils in the side areas. With two sets of twin grandchildren, I needed a way to keep each child happy with something of his/her own and these lapdesks are perfect! They store markers, crayons, stickers, paper and anything else they want in the nice compartment, use them on the floor, bed or on the sofa with the legs activated, and then can store them when finished and they take up little room.  Since they love them at my house, I have gotten them for the youngest children to have at home too! A super purchase!

My third purchase of these same lap desks~they're that good!

I purchased 2 of these; however they are Easter gifts for my grandsons, ages4 & 3 yrs old. So I can only say that I'm very pleased with these desks. The quality is great, especially for the price. I feel my guys will  be happy with them. They are both into coloring & drawing. And as they take a lot of car trips, they will be put to good use occupying them. Also I did send my daughter a picture of the desks before ordering, and she was thrilled I had found these for the boys. So, hopefully my grandsons will be equally thrilled and will have many enjoyable hours having fun using their new lap desks.

Perfect gift for grandchildren!

My grandson is easy to please but my daughter is very critical about what he receives sometimes. She really liked this! Was pleased to receive it as they will be traveling for the holidays this year. Now he has a desk to do his drawing and eat his lunch. Also folds up nice so it takes up little room in their car.

Great for travel

Got these for the grandkids.  We had a cheaper version but they didn't last long. These feel sturdier and our granddaughter loves hers.  Grandson is too little to use it yet, but won't be long.   These will get lots of use, and we love the storage section.

Great purchase.

I like that the desk is portable and has lid to keep contents together while moving it, but the legs are not very sturdy Im very worried that they're going to get broken before it gets full use. My child is happy with it and uses it for everything ( snacks, meals, drawing, legos, laptop, play doh etc..., everything!).

Great for kids

I love using this product as a gift for kids.  I personalize them and pack them with coloring books and coloring supplies in the storage compartment. I have had several problems where they come scratched and/or with stress marks in the plastic making it appear white in certain spots.   But I keep coming back.

Best lap desk

Purchased these for a long car trip. Filled them with all sorts of things to keep grandkids busy.  Fit over car seats OK.  Kids (6 and 4) really liked them.  Material and construction does not seem very strong.  One of the legs popped off several times but I was able to reattach it. I doubt they will lasted very long if used a lot. But they served the purpose and are still fully functional.

Didnt realize that the sides fold down, which is great for storage but not so much when your child is trying to use it and it keeps falling down

Not the greatest, not the worst

I had to return the product. It was shipped with no packing material at all. When it arrived, it was all cracked. This is my first experience with HearthSong Toys and I have to say I am quite disappointed. If you don't use packing material to ship your items, I will not buy anything else from you.
