This camera, which has a 16MP backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, features a built-in Nikkor lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 24-3000mm. Coupled with these extreme focal lengths is Nikon's Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction, which provides 5 stops of optical image stabilization and ensures your telephoto shots are crisp. Gracing the back of the camera is a 3.2" vary-angle, 921k-dot LCD monitor, and an eye-level 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder, so your subjects will always be easy to see. The camera is also capable of recording 4K UHD video at 30 or 25 fps and supports an external microphone via a 3.5mm connector.&nbsp;A camera shake may be a concern while shooting at extreme focal lengths on a tripod. Or, you may need to otherwise remotely operate the P1000. The optional ML-L7 remote satisfies these needs with the wireless operation of the camera's zoom, shutter, and other settings. Fantastic zoom lens

This is a camera that I had been wanting to purchase for over a year.  I found one here on Beach Camera, called to talk to a Customer Service Rep, Nate, who was very knowledgeable and super helpful.  As we were finalizing the sale, the one I was asking about, got sold!   Yep no jokes, finally getting ready to pull the trigger and boom, gone.   But Nate made sure I was able to purchase the P1000 along with accessories that came with the set, the only difference was this was refurbished and the one i wanted was brand new.  I has some serious reservations of wanting a refurbished.  Nate made sure i was fully confident in the purchase of this camera with a 1 year warranty!
The process of the order took a little longer than i had hoped, but, it was because i ordered it late on Thursday and they have an early close time on Fridays.  So it was not processed until Monday.  
The camera and accessories came in a very well packed box, everything was in the box that i was expecting.

Finally got my P1000

We have been really pleased so far.  We have noticed if you set the camera down the lens hood tends to pop off.  Also the spare battery for the camera has a chip in one corner missing, not the fault of the seller but Nikon.     #sweepstakes

The expected delivery was 2 weeks when I purchased, but I got it in 3-4 days which was pretty quick. The price is the same or may be less compared to the other merchants in market. No damage to the product and has all the accessories mentioned in the product description.

Over all, I am happy with my purchase.

I bought the P1000 in order to get into wildlife photography. So far it meets all of my expectations but I'm having issues with graininess or noise in my photos even at low ISO values. I find this to be most apparent when trying to shoot subjects at distances of 50 yards and closer. Being new to photography in general, I'm inclined to blame this on my lack of knowledge more than on the camera. I find the menu system easy to navigate. The zoom feature is insane! You'll want a sturdy tripod in order to obtain sharp images at higher magnifications as the tiniest bit of vibration will cause blurriness in your images. Overall, i'm very pleased with my purchase and I'm looking forward to getting better with it as I lean the ropes....#sweepstakes

Great Camera!

Camera arrived in what appeared to be an already opened box, although I had purchased a "new" camera not an open box item.  Does not seem to auto focus properly and doesn't tough the quality of my DSLR camera when in auto mode.  Not sure it is the product that is to blame, or the potentially used/misused product I received.

Would have been great...

It wasn't a brand new one, I am not sure it was used or renewed but the box that got to me didn't seems like a brand new one and that's why I returned it the next day and didn't even tried it.

It says in description 1 year warranty so I assumed it was the real deal.  Got camera, no warranty so I suspect it is a gray market camera.  I emailed deal-expo about it and they would not give me a straight  answer.
