Can you use a Straight Talk plan with this phone?

Hi. This is Janet from TracFone Wireless. The maximum length of text message that you can send/receive is 918 characters. However, if you send more than 160 characters then your message will be broken down in to chunks of 153 characters before being sent to the recipient's handset.

Thanks Janet, I have a LG305 and am now experiencing a problem receiving text that are longer that 160 characters. They were broken down as you state but now I get a 'enhanced message can not be decoded' message. I miss everything in the preceding part(s) except the last page. I called tech support and they sent me a new phone and I transferred all my info (by hand) to the new one, sent back the old one........ and am having the same experience with the now new LG305. I was hoping a new model, this Raven, would be more capable. So the phone isn't so 'smart' after all. geez

Honestly surprised by the performance of this phone. For $30 its decently fast, runs smoothly, and the display is decent. I've read a lot of negative reviews about this lil guy but for me it's a great backup phone for the low price. I don't use the device as a daily phone, I leave it on Airplane and use it as a mini home tablet and for when I want "Happy Time lol". My two cons are the display is low in pixels but bright and the battery does die fast but on Airplane mode I can get two days. All in all a great deal for the price and if you needed it as your daily driver it would do fine. My daily phone is a Galaxy S8+  its def nothing close to that...but worth every penny. Would definitely recommend.
