Best rod for $20 that I've found. I've used both the medium and medium heavy rods. I've caught numerous bass with them and no issues whatsoever. Occasionally I've had to resign ten the nut on the real seat but I have to do that with all my lower end rods after catching a ton of fish

Best rod for $20 that I've found

This rod outcasts an Allstar and Falcon IM6 that I have. The "golf grip" style handle is very comfortable. Shakespeare always makes equipment that is inexpensive, not cheap.

Excellent Baitcasting Rod for the money

Super solid for the price. If you really need a budget baitcast rod then look no further. Shakespeare has a lot of prestige in the industry and constantly produces quality options on the budget side of the market. This rod is a perfect case for that. Would like to give it 4.5 out of 5 because I feel like the reel seat is just a little low on the rod itself. I am more comfortable handling a higher reel seat on my other rods but it's a preference thing.

Super solid budget rod!

I bought this fishing rod because it appeared to be well made for the price. After using it I have been very pleasantly surprised. The action is fast and sensitive and it's holding up great. For an “average joe” fisherman as myself this  fits the bill perfectly. Don't know about the long run, but very impressed at this point. I intend to buy another and would suggest it to a friend.

Solid fishing rod

out of the many fishing rods i own this is one of the best cheap rods i have can take everything from fishing in saltwater bays for snook to fliping docks on the coosa for spotted bass.. shakespeare hit this one out of the park.

Favorite all around rod

7' medium heavy with fast action,great sturdy responsive rod paired with kast king baitcaster,loving it!

Bass Master

Seems to be a pretty good pole. Although, second cast the foam butt knob fell off. Guess as long as the glue I put on will keep it from happening again, and I can catch some bass then I will be happy. If not, I will add a review to update this one. Guess you get what you pay for as we all know.

Pole seems good, however, mine came with my tip broken off....doesn't seem like it could even fit in the box if it was intact...save you some time and see if your local store has it in stock

Frustrating

This is an ok rod but the butt busted off when a big fish hit the pole while it was in the holder, I could forgive that but the guides are not glued in very well and 3 of them separated leaving the line hitting the bare metal.

Not worth the little money you will pay.
