You can do it all as one workout, or skip through chapters for different types of workouts. There is also a step guide included which is about 10-15 minutes. The full workout would be 44 minutes (not including the step guide).

This is the best Jennifer Galardi video yet! The video has a 1-min breakdown of 10 of the moves used in the dances, so you can learn them and review them at your own pace. The breakdown really helps when the move is introduced in the sequence: You've already practiced it! Jennifer is great at explaining the moves so you can learn them quickly and easily. I just recently started dance dvds, and this one is great!

I'm very pleased with this dvd. The workout is tons of fun! A little difficult with a couple steps at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's fun :)
Definitely an energetic workout!

Fun :)

This video is a fantastic workout and really makes you sweat buckets! (of course, wearing a sweatshirt helps!) Be sure to take advantage of the option to learn the steps before the workout and practice them a little before you start dancing. The instructor talks you through the steps as you do them...be patient...depending on your coordination level, the steps might be hard for some...happy to say I got them all by the second time I did the video. (I know some hip hop moves!!) Really enjoyed this instructor and will look for her other videos.

Fantastic Workout!

I bought this as a gift for mothers day and by mom loves it. It's about 45 minutes and always keep you doing moves. There is a step guide so you can learn the moves before the workout.

This is something that I actually enjoy doing. My daughters and I have a great time with these routines. It's not too strenuous, but you do work up a sweat. Love it!

so much fun

Great way to burn calories and have FUN while doing it!

I got this DvD after lookingover many. It had a high rating and good comments. I was not disappointed with it at all. The teacher is friendly and energetic. The music is good, though now that I know most of the moves I like to play my our dance music in the back ground, all it needs is a steady fast beat. The only hitch to it that I saw, was at first themoves were a little tough it get. They do them so well, that you feel a bit lacking in the begining. But if you do the step guide a few times, then learn on rountine at a time, soon you will be able to do all three, and it will gradluy built up your muscles that way as well. Side bonus to getting this was my children love to watxh and do it, and its steps that they can do in dance that are in unapproraite for their ages. (6 &10)
So buy it and give it a shot, but remember it will take some pratice to feel like your hitting all the moves, unless you are a dancer before. I wasnt but I am proud to be one now.

Does its job

I can't say I disagree with a single of the above reviews but it's not nearly as fun as I'd hoped either. Someone mentioned that it's hard to do on carpet, this is true but only for the butterfly, I think. My problem that I'm a LAZY person and dancing sounded like a blast. This is still a little more on the light aerobic side, BUT I have been managing to do it at least a couple times a week so it must have something going for it, LOL. Trust, me that really does mean a lot. I just wish they used like real music. Familiar stuff that you'd get to dance to if you were in a dance class or something. I can't wait to get to the point where I'm familiar enough with the routine to do like someone else mentioned and put my own music on in the background. I think that will help a lot too. I tried putting a mirror out while I was dancing the other day to help with my rhythm... bad idea- it was very distracting how awful I looked so I'll stick with just trying to have fun and not take this serious enough to hope it would teach me some moves :)

it's alright

i work out to this video almost everyday. i was a little disappointed. when i read HIP HOP i was thinking it would be more HIP HOP dance moves and work out and music that is played on the radio. but it has grown on me and i do like it.

it's ok

I'm someone who can dance and has been in dance troops (so I can take instructions for new routines), but the step tutorials are too fast, not all of them are hard, but about 1/2 of the moves could stand to be broken down even slower. The dvd does not let you feature 1 step at a time, the tutorial is one whole feature, therefore you have to keep rewinding and pausing for each step, would not recommend to beginners.
