strong construction boots, heavy at 2.87 lbs a piece, very well made and no gimmicks or shortcuts, HIGH INSTEP if this is what you need, I tried other brands boots in 12 mid and could not even put them on half way. These fit, are pleasant inside and factory waterproof from start, similar boots some place other then Walmart are now 3 times as much. I ordered another Herman's type at the same time but that other were too low instep, so they went back, no problem. I am wearing these boots at country work or when timber cutting / split in a forest

pretty mighty yet very comfortable boots

5 Stars really? Well let's go over a few things first. They are built like tanks. Yes they are a little heavy but are built very well. Now for the quality of the materials I would say is very good. The lug sole is beefy and the leather is nice. Long term wear is questionable depending on abuse and wear. These are built for heavy duty work.

These are like tanks for your feet.

After the first day he had no issues wearing them, they were great they are completely waterproof, and doing construction work having the puncture plate in the bottom gives me extra assurance to do my job

These are worth every penny,compared to name brand

I have spent tons of money on all the name brands, these boots are at least as good as most and better than some. I usually get about a year out of boots. These lasted 2.5 years and are still good enough for backup boots.

I work at a Rock Quarry and these boots are water proof and very well made.

Great Product

I originally purchased the $84 pair with laces at my local Walmart. Then I was browsing online and saw the same model but the boot version without laces. I immediately ordered and I gotta say these are very comfortable especially since I work outside as a land surveyor. I'm on my feet all day long and these provide good comfort for my feet. They are made very well and can withstand all types of weather. This is my second pair of Herman's survivors and this is the only boot I will wear from now on. Definitely recommend.

Great Work Boots!

Lasted about a year until the inside heel started coming apart. Tread on soles is still good. It's the inner stitching that failed.

I drive a truck for a sawmill. These things are constantly in water, sand, gravel, mud, and muck. For the price, I'm happy. Ordering another pair!

Not bad at all

Good, comfortable work boots... wide calf friendly!!! I work in a pressure washing company and these boots have kept my feet dry longer than other brands...

A GREAT BUY!

these looked really good and fit well. i received them on August 24th. as i do with all my leather boots i treat them with mink oil. i conditioned them every 2 weeks until present date. the sole on the right boot has started to separate from the upper letting water in. I'm not very happy. its only been around 4 months of usage.  i just ordered a pair of wolverine boots yesterday.  even though I'm not that satisfied with them either. but I've got to have work boots.

First I want to say that my husband purchased the exact same boot in store a couple of years ago. They were good enough boots that he wanted a second pair which are now unavailable in store.  So I ordered them online with the expectation of equal quality. Nope. Even though they are marked the same size the left one is  more narrow across the top of foot. After wearing them all day he ends up with a sore raw spot on top of his foot. I bought a boot stretcher and hopefully we can get it comfortable enough for him to wear. We will not buy shoes/boots online anymore. It has cost us extra for ointment and a boot stretcher not to mention his painful foot.

One boot is not like the other….
