The product was pretty quiet. Wife and kids usually watch tv while I use the product with no complaints. They also don't need to higher the volume. There a small sound coming from the chain but very minimal.

If I&#39;m in the room with the TV, I feel I have to turn the TV up a bit louder than normal to &quot;enjoy&quot; the program and not miss any of the audio.

Believe it or not for the price it has a digital pad. Not high tech but certainly works for time, calories, distance.
