I have been using Pure Abundance Shampoo and Conditioner for over 5 years. My hair is completely white but was thinning slightly. I now am extremely happy with the way my hair looks as it does have volume after using this product. I get a lot of compliments about my hair and I am quick to say I only use the Aveda Hair Product Line. I also use the Blue Malva once a week which keeps my hair super white and shiny. I use Smooth Infusion after my shampoo and conditioner to add more bounce to my wavy hair.

My hair was very limp and lifeless. I needed something different and I received a sample of this shampoo. I love that it cleans out all the product build up, and lifts your hair at the same time. It has a fresh scent and the large bottle lasts me about 3 months.

I have been quite disappointed in my hair and wondered if it was because I'm older and I highlight it, that perhaps that is why it was blah. Then I tried Aveda Pure Abundance Shampoo and the Pure Abundance Conditoner and my hair is simple amazing! Smooth and full of volume that gave me back the hair I have missed. The shampoo doesn't have high lather but certainly cleaned my hair. Grateful that I gave this shampoo a try. I'm throwing all the other shampoos I've tried out and sticking with this! This is the hair I use to love!

Makes hair fuller, softer, adds volume and bounce. This is coming from someone with a lot of hair but it is thin, weak and brittle. This shampoo helps a lot.

have been using this for about a week now everyday. for me volume shampoos usually only work 1/5 times of washing but this has worked every single time. it makes my hair the thickest it has ever been, i have no idea how it does it!! going to be completely honest i feel like if you don't completely lather and rinse for a while you can be left with some spots that still have product (like by the back of your neck), and i feel like it can be slightly drying. but with careful washing and a good mask every once in a while this shampoo has exceeded my expectations. i never write reviews but this deserves it. it's the only product i've tried that lives up to what it says

Gives great volume however, it makes my hair very dry. Drying shrinks the diameter of the hair so the drying effect does not allow the product to perform to its full potential. Maybe add to the product a moisturizer benefit? Also, my bottle ended up getting a major crack going top to bottom & alot of product leaked out.

I have been using it for 2 weeks now. The product gave me the volumizing effect on the first use only but on repeated use I didn't see that. Also my hair gets dry and rough while Iam washing it and after a day of shower my scalp gets oily and dandruff is back. I combined it with nutri plenish deep moisture conditioner and my hair only looks good for few hours after the wash only probably because of the conditioner rather than the shampoo. I'm not confident I'll try Aveda again. I have been struggling for a year to find a good hair products and paid more but still my hair doesn't look good.

Not volumizing!

I purchased the entire line of volumizing - shampoo, conditioner, tonic, mousse - after one shampoo, my hair felt and looked like STRAW! I should have stopped at the shampoo - I could feel it strip everything out of my hair. MAYBE it's a good once a month product, but I'll never use it again. I spent almost $150 of product that are sitting on my shelf....

NO NO NO!!!

Why did you have to change a good thing, Aveda?! I have been using Aveda products for at least 25 years. For a long time I used Pure Abundance volumizing shampoo, occasionally also using Shampure, and loved the results. Now with Aveda's change in formulation of their products, I cannot use any of them...none. The products leave my hair greasy and lifeless. I also was a long-time user of Smooth Infusion Style Prep, but another Aveda fail as this product also no longer works for me. It absolutely breaks my heart when I skim through the reviews of all products and see that they essentially went from 4-5 stars before the reformulation to 1 star post-reformulation. I hope Aveda is paying attention and realizing how many customers they are losing. Unfortunately all of the Aveda shampoo and conditioner that I have left will become an expensive substitute for shaving cream until they are used up. Now I understand why my salon, which used to be an Aveda salon, is no longer uses Aveda products.
