I wash my hair with this shampoo (I don't currently use the conditioner) either daily or every other day and then blow dry my hair. My hair stays so manageable throughout the day(s) and I have at least 90% frizz and fly-aways or little curls around my face as I do without this shampoo. If I brush my hair after noticing a little frizz, it smooths out instantly. I LOVE this stuff in the summer!

This shampoo works. It says it will give you "smooth" hair and it delivers. I have naturally oily hair and have been using Clove Shampoo for many years. However, it makes my brown hair slightly darker. So I decided that I wanted to go back to my naturally lighter shade of brown and try something new. I had already received a sample of the Smooth Infusion Masque but thought it was too heavy for my hair. I decided to try the smooth Infusion daily conditioner first and I liked it. When my Clove Shampoo ran out, I purchased this shampoo with trepidation thinking it might make my oily hair look flat. Nope! It left my hair smooth and shiny and tamed the little hairs that stick out when I blow dry my hair in the winter.

I purchased this product as I wanted something to help smooth my hair and keep it straight after blowdrying. As I have aged, my hair has changed in its texture and has developed a slight wave. This product along with the rest of the Smooth Infusion line really does help. The scent is mildly citrus and is not overwhelming at all. This works well for me and one of my teenage daughters.

Really helps to smooth hair

Hooked on to smooth infusion products for life! God knows I have tried many shampoos before this that claim that they help reduce frizz. All those ever did was fill my hair with gunk to keep it straight and make it feel sticky. Not this one! Everything about this product is wonderful. I have dry coarse and wavy hair, They weren't always dry, but possibly because of exposure to sun here in sunny California, they have become more dry over the years. This shampoo is perfect to help remove the dryness and make it so soft and smooth and it doesn't add any weight to your hair. I use a bit of dry remedy oil on the previous night or early morning and then use smooth infusion products to get super healthy looking soft hair thats frizz free!

Smooth and Manageable!

My hair has seen some textural changes in the last few years. Unfortunately that means i've developed a scattered layer of curly strands amongst my fairly straight locks. Combine that with East coast humidity and the result is frizz central! I was given a small sample of Aveda's smooth infusions shampoo and conditioner after a hair cut and am very happy with the results. It tames frizz without weighing my fine hair down. I can even let it air dry and end up with silky smooth tresses once it's all the way dry. I love the herbal smell too, it's so much better than all those fake chemical sweet smelling products out there.

No Fuss, No Frizz!

Makes my hair so smooth like silk. straight and less hassle straightening etc. I do prefer regular shampoo only because this makes my hair feel thin and it already is thin so i need shampoo that keeps my hair volumized. Although, i do recommend it for those with frizzy thicker hair than mine. it's a great product. I just keep a bottle of straightening serum after the shower on areas of hair that tend to frizz I blow dry and straighten and I'm good to go! :) I love you aveda your products are pricey but keep my hair refreshed, non-oily for a longer time!

VERY smooth and frizz free

This shampoo is very good at leaving my hair smooth and frizz free. When I use it I only tend to use a little on bit because it goes a long way and I don't use it much on my scalp because it leaves it a little oily. If you do use it on your scalp I would advise to use very little.

Really cuts back on frizz and smooths hair!

I had been looking for a new brand to try as I have hair that tends to get frizzy and I wanted that sleek glossy look. I bought the Smooth infusion shampoo, conditioner and also the glossing gel hoping to have the whole package set me straight. I thought going to the beach would be the perfect time to see if these products worked. I have used them for 2 weeks now and my hair has never felt so dry and like straw. I also didn't like the smell- it reminds me of the citronella candles you use outside to keep bugs away. Needless to say I did not have a good experience. My hair looked dull and was definitely not soft anymore. I am going back to my old brand that I never should have left. Sorry that I couldn't recommend this- others seem to be doing fine.

Dried out my hair

I tried so hard to love this shampoo. I wanted to love it because it is Aveda and because it cost so much and I haven't spent this much on a shampoo before. The shampoo was recommended by my hairstylist. The first few times I used it I noticed that after washing my hair there was a greasy film left behind that wouldn't go away and it just kept building the more I washed it. I contacted my hairstylist and she recommended that I make sure to suds it in my hands before lathering it in my hair and to make sure to rinse it out completely. This seemed to work for a few weeks until I moved. I continued to use it the way that my stylist recommended but it continued to make my hair feel greasy and like it had a bunch of buildup. Whether I blow dry or air dry my hair, when it is dry it looks stringy and greasy. I have never used a product that makes my hair look like this and normally my hair is not greasy right after washing it. Prior to using this product I could go 3 days before my hair would look and feel greasy. Like I said, I am so upset that I don't like it because I really really want to, but I can't continue to live with greasy hair right after I wash it. I am currently searching for a different shampoo to end this nightmare of greasy hair.
