Meguiar's M205 is the industry standard for auto paint polishes. It's only a polish though, so if you're looking for paint protection be sure to then apply wax or sealant to your paint afterward. The average daily driver would benefit from an all-in-one product such as a cleaner wax to remove light oxidation along with some paint protection. That said, I used this to remove swirls & scratches from a hard German ceramic clear coat paint finish. Using microfiber buffing pads I used a dual action polisher on one section & a rotary polisher on the other section of my car's trunk lid. Both machines did about the same level of correction, with the rotary being faster, but adding in hologram swirls with the added speed. I'll have to slow it down to bring up the shine & remove the holograms. In the bright sunlight I did notice some super light scratches introduced into the clear after my first test. The microfiber pads may have been at fault there. The second test will use a softer foam polishing pad to see if that will reduce the spiderweb swirls. Overall, the M205 performed just under my expectation for the hard clear coat paint. I was hoping it would correct a little better. But it remove light swirls & wiped off fairly easily with a microfiber towel.

This product worked awesome! It left a glass-like shine on my Corvette and took out some scuffs also.

I've been detailing cars for over 30 years. Maguiar's 205 is one of the best finishing polishes on the market at the best price. This is a "professional" product and works best with a D A polisher.

A very good product with Walmart having a very good price on it.

Meguiar is a superior product.

I've used Meguiar's since the 80's and had great results.  This one may not have existed back then, that I'm aware of.  Since I used it on a white car, it's very difficult to see the results.  It's best to judge using darker colors.  However, it did cut the dull faded paint and restored the gloss.  The car looks new again.  The only negative is that it dries quickly while polishing and becomes difficult to buff out the excess.  This is something that's been discussed on-line by others who have used it.  I noticed after cleaning the sponge polishing wheel with water, I applied the polish while still damp.  It seems to have polished better than the quick detailer, or instant detailer spray that I was using.  Also, cleaning the buffing wheel often between panels works better than going through several panels non-stop.  It's really best to use power polisher.  I don't know how I endured doing this by hand in the past.  The first time included color sanding the entire car.

Great Stuff!  Great Results!

The finish was very good.  Can get a little streaky if humidity is on the higher side, and this was in a garage and not outside.  I want to give this product a higher rating, but the amount of dust that it creates is absurd.  If you use this on a black car, fully expect to follow it up with a washing or if you're going to be applying a sealant blow it off %26 then give it a good IPA wipedown.
