Its a great battery. Price little high but get what you pay for.

Optima battery's were made in USA for my last Optima battery. It lasted foe 14 YEARS!! Optima battery's are now made in MEXICO. Word is that the Mexico battery won't last as long as USA battery's. Well I'm testing the theory. So far it seems just like my old battery. Same look and feel. So the experiment is on hope it is still the same.

Cant buy a better battery

I got it at such a great value I was and will be questioning the warranty, problem is I will not find that out till I actually have to use it!! The factory is 3 years, the seller never would tell me after 3 inquires about the production date, I didn't know till it showed up, is was this year which allowed me to breath better. I took a gamble,

Battery Life

I own a diesel powered truck. Batteries need to be replaced about three years.
Also lead acid batteries do not work well in cold weather.
these batteries seem to preform very well in cold weather starting.

Newer technology

I've had 5 of these over the years and have never had one fail me. I even had one mounted on its side because of clearance issues between the top posts and hood. (76 Jeep CJ5) These days it's hard to find a battery with 800CCA. Manufacturers try to muddy the water with Hot cranking amps, peak amps, and so on. Have used these batteries since they came on the market and will use them till I'm done.

Best battery I've found.

This Optima car battery for my 4X4 vehicle replaces the same battery purchased many years ago.  The battery is long lived but more importantly is sturdily constructed to withstand jolts from rough roads.  The construction does not involve plates as with an ordinary battery.  There consequently are no plates to short together or to fall from their supports.

Tough and long-lived battery

I purchased this Red Top OPTIMA battery for my 2007 Pontiac Solstice. I bought the car in 2013 and it had this same battery already installed in it. When I removed the existing battery to install this new battery, the existing battery's sticker was 03/09: March of 2009. The install date of my new battery is 05/23: May 2023. So OPTIMA batteries do last longer then regular lead/acid car batteries, and why I installed another OPTIMA Red Top in my car. I do keep a trickle charger on the battery when the car is in storage.

The battery was great, when it worked.  I am not happy with the warranty.   I replaced this battery once under warranty, and it failed again.  this time, it was past the 3 years since my original purchase, and optima does not warranty their product past that.  2 failed batteries in 5 years.  Looks to be a manufacturing defect.  Buyer Beware.
