We have allergies and live in a city. The air quality is usually not the best and the car filter can handle only so much. The Atem Car is quiet and highly effective in providing clean air! We no longer constantly sneeze. It's also easy to control via the app. However, it's not necessarily needed to use an app which is great. Highly recommend it!

Small changes but big difference!

very few options for a car air purifier, this was the only one that looked to mount out of the way and have a good filter inside. So far very happy, runs quiet and I don't notice it over say the radio, road noise or the AC being on, if everything is off you can hear it on the higher settings. Has helped with the wildfire smoke here in california when I need to drive and also with the new car smell in my truck. Happy with my purchase even if being on the expensive side.

Expensive but worth it for me

I bought this because I spend a good amount of time on the road commuting to work.  I've always been concerned about the vehicle exhaust I'm probably breathing.  With my windows up, car climate controls set to recycle, and this car air purifier running, I actually feel much better when I get to work.  It turns on and off with when I start and stop the engine.  I've heard people say it's large, but people that ride in the back seat of my car barely noticed it.  Granted I drive an SUV.

My husband I recently took a road trip to Northern California.  I have bad seasonal allergies and I was expecting to have an allergy attack as we drove through the agricultural areas on our trip.  I can say, I didn't have one issue.  I love this thing!

So Quiet, So Effective

Its not too loud even its set up right behind my driver side. Its easy to take off and put back on if need it. I do feel a difference of air quality when I drive. Only thing is, physically turn on or off when driving its impossible. But if you leave it on every time you turn on your car it auto turn on. And it does not come with a reg plug, only a car plug. That's just very inconvenient. But over all I love it.

Love it.

I have copd. I am affected by pollen, dust , chemical fumes. Using the Atem has made a huge difference in my breathing when I drive. It makes my 16 year old  Camry feel like a new hybrid. I feel that it worth the money because it makes it easier for me to breathe.
I will not return it.

Great fot people with Asthma, COPD

This is a great purifier to add in the car especially during allergy season. It really helps a lot. You feel assured that the air you breathe is clean especially for long car rides.

Great for travel and allergy season

The only reason I've given 4 instead of 5 stars is that I've only had my Car HEPA filter for a month.
I've used it on a few long rides and through some nasty smoke..... I live in Ashland Or. and our air through the month of August has been unbearable





I have two IQ air purifiers in my home so was thrilled to get one for my car. I love in southern Oregon and the smoke in August is horrible. My car filter has helped me get out of the area when it's just too bad to stay. I am going to get another for my husband's car. I have asthma so it's a God-send for me.

Worst smoke in country!! Almost.....

Nice form factor/design. very easy to set up. Not too noisy. Works well. Keeps PM 2.5 levels zero in my car. Down sides: 1-no pm 2.5 monitor on the device 2-No way to turn off the Bluetooth. 3- power cord is a little short for for 3 row SUV (barely makes it). Despite working engine, magnetic fields and electric fields are not significantly increased for the nearby passengers. This was a big concern for me but turned out to be ok. I did the testing when outside pm2.5 concentration was just moderate and car air flow was in re-circulation mode. I don't know if the device will be able to keep internal PM 2.5 concentration low when outside PM 2.5 is high or air circulation is open to outside. Given it size it is unlikely that it will be able to keep PM 2.5 low if the air circulation is open to outside. When I keep air flow in re circulation CO2 gets very high (more than 10 times baseline) above 4000 ppm even in half an hour so it is something to think about. If you want to keep the PM 2.5 low then CO2 will rise unless outside pm 2.5 is already low then you can circulate outside air and still have low internal pm 2.5.

Works well

I'm sure it works very well, but I had to return it because it has Bluetooth that cannot be disabled.  I have severe electromagnetic sensitivity (EMS, aka microwave sickness) and it is ASTOUNDING to me that IQAir would have developed a product that has Bluetooth you can't disable. So many people with chemical sensitivity also develop EMS.   Very disappointing.  I love the IQ Air that filters air in my house, however!  Very sad to be denied the benefits of Atem Car...
